The DCS573 features improvements in the design and engineering of the high density 18V brushless DC motor, as well as electronic circuitry that detects when it is being powered by a FlexVolt battery pack. This allows the user to either use normal 18V battery packs to power the tool, or gain the extra power delivered by the included PowerStack batteries, or unlock more power with FlexVolt batteries if you already own them.
Brushless motors are a win-win, with no requirement for regular maintenance, and improved efficiencies that result in longer runtime from each battery, whether that be 18V, 18V PowerStack or FlexVolt. The DCS573 takes a large 190mm diameter blade (with 30mm bore) that gives the user a cut depth of 67mm for straight cuts, or 51mm with the blade angled at 45 degrees.
This saw is perfect for professional trade users who want a tool they can rely on which gives them the flexibility to use their existing range of 18V batteries while also giving them the option for more power when they need it with the PowerStack or FlexVolt batteries.
